The international phase continued in Ljubljana

The international phase of the environmental approval of the new nuclear power plant units continued with the public hearing in Ljubljana on 12 October 2015, which was followed later with an expert consultation.

At the start of the Slovenian public hearing dr. Zoltán Horváth, leader of the Baranya County Government Office described the main characteristcs and rules of the authorization process. Then dr. Attila Aszódi, government commissioner for the maintenance of the performance of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant presented the project, the effects of the construction and operation of the new nuclear power plant units on the environment, and he also described the safety parameters.

During the second half of the almost 2 hours long public hearing the members of the Hungarian delegation answered the questions and reflected on the expressed opinions.

The next station of the international part of the environmental approval is Bucharest, where the public hearing will be held on 14 October.
