Public hearing in Kiev

A public hearing was held as part of the international phase of the environmental approval in Kiev on 7 October 2015, which was followed next day by an expert consultation.

Almost 50 people participated in the more than 7 hours long event, several representatives of Ukrainian NGOs among them. The event took place in a relaxed atmosphere with a constructive, professional interest. Dr. Attila Aszódi, government commissioner for the maintenance of the performance of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant presented his lecture about the Paks II. investment and its environmental effects in the beginning, which was followed by the answers to the quesions of the transportation of the nuclear fuel through Ukraine and the nuclear power plant’s effect on Danube.

The international phase of the environmental approval continues on 12 October in Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia.
