President Katalin Novák handed over the credentials of the new state secretaries in the presence of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on 25 May in the Carmelite monastery, reported MTI Hungarian News Agency. János Süli received his credential as the state secretary responsible for the Paks investment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
As Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó told at his 18 May ministerial candidate hearing, due to the recent events and the coming challenges, the Paks II. investment came under the authority of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Péter Szijjártó underlined: the construction of the two new NPP units serves the national security, national economy and national strategy interests of Hungary, nuclear energy is the most balanced, predictable and cheapest energy source.
